The Afterlives of AltGov

UMSI Master's thesis on the Alt-Gov Twitter movement. This project specifically looks at science communication practices of self-described "rogue" Twitter accounts that emerged in the wake of the first Trump administration. Did these accounts engage in information sharing and, if so, how did they sustain these information sharing practices over the years.

The Girl, The Myth, The Fanfiction

The Girl, The Myth, The Fanfiction is an interactive online book about gender and performance in fannish spaces. It uses the Harry Potter fandom as a lens to analyze fanfiction authors' often contentious relationship with original creators, self-disclosure and identity formation through fan texts, and the emergence of non-textual fannish works such as songs, plays, and podcasts.

Ferrest

Derived from a common mispelling of her last name, Taylor performs and writes music under the stage name, Ferrest. Stay tuned for her new EP, Town Crier, which touches on themes of climate anxiety, religious trauma, and apocalypse.
